Discovered in the phosphate deposits of the Khouribga Plateau, approximately 100 miles inland from Casablanca in Morocco, this fossilized tooth bears witness to the formidable nature of the Otodus obliquus shark that roamed the seas 40-60 million years ago. With a maximum length of perhaps 40 feet, these sharks were among the top predators of their time, ruling the ancient seas with unmatched ferocity.
